This lamp project provided an opportunity to work with packaging design as well as coordinating the production. We purchased 12 lamps to see how they were packaged, and then designed the inserts to hold the base and shade. Framelite lamp and box (.jpg)

This was truly an international project, with the glow-in-the-dark shade printed in England, the lamp base made in Kansas City, and the box printed in Taiwan. It was also an interesting experience in learning about licensing and working with the Disney company. The Little Mermaid lamp with glow-in-the-dark shade was the first of several produced by Hamilton Lamp Corporation. Little Mermaid Lamp (.jpg)

After a few years of a sponsoring a community curbside recycling program and discovering they had some unused allocated marketing funds, the City of Liberty hired Target Direct Marketing to conduct an awareness campaign. While our graphic designer created the artwork and overall look, I was in charge of creating all the layouts, ordering printing and mailing lists, and fulfillment. My idea to create a refrigerator magnet with Recycling Tips was accepted, and we decided the best method of distribution was to laminate it to a postcard and mail to all residents. We also sent a postcard to residents who had moved in since the initial launch of recycling, put out door hangers, and placed monthly newspaper ads reminding citizens about the weekend drop-off recycling center. Recycling participation increased, and Liberty continued to promote it on a regular basis. Recycling 4 samples (.jpg)

Two Tools Catalog are the largest projects I've ever managed. The Product Manager divided the job into thirty functional chapters, which I later combined into 10 combined chapters to make tracking and file management easier. I was in charge of monitoring page building progress, photographs needed, proofreading, progress at the printer, and more. I also designed and built the covers, supporting pages, and indexes.
